Nazario Prieto is an Assistant Water Services Director from the City of Phoenix Water Services Department. He oversees and manages the City’s Wastewater Utility, which includes the Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Collection, and Wastewater Engineering Divisions. Prior to his current role he served as a Deputy Water Services Director over the Assets and Development Planning Division, Civil Engineer III*Team Lead, Civil Engineer III and Civil Engineer II. Nazario has been with the City of Phoenix for 17 years, 15 of which have been in the Water Services Department. Prior to coming to Phoenix, Nazario spent approximately 3 years in Los Angeles, where he worked for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. Nazario obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Arizona. Nazario was raised in Nuevo Casas Grandes Chihuahua Mexico. He has a wife and three kids and when he is not spending time with them, he enjoys hiking and watching football and basketball.
