Day 1
16:00 – 17:30, Water and the Climate Imperative
M. Sc. and MBA
Per Holm has extensive experience from within both the private and the public sector in Denmark. His credentials as a consulting engineer have led him from a private contracting company to the position of Head of Technical Operations and Supply at a large Danish municipality, and on to his current position as CEO of the utility BlueKolding. Here he is dedicated to the business development of BlueKolding and the company’s business partners in a broader, strategic perspective. His combined experience from the competitive markets of the building and construction industry and public monopolies has given him unique insights into the value-adding collaboration between private and public sector companies.
BlueKolding is a monopoly in the field of wastewater treatment, serving close to 100,000 citizens and hundreds of companies in the municipality of Kolding, Denmark. Rather than considering its monopoly a privilege, BlueKolding considers it an obligation. This aligns directly with the company’s clear-cut purpose: “Imagine a world without waste.” In other words, BlueKolding considers itself obliged to make the most of the resources – both environmental and economic – with which its customers entrust it. Therefore BlueKolding goes to great lengths to provide optimal value in exchange for its customers’ expenditures.
Per Holm’s and BlueKolding’s list of recognition includes:
